Reality has served as Director of A&R for Record Executive Ian Burke (TLC, Outkast and Xscape) during his tenure at Drift City Records. Reality has also served as an A&R Consultant for several industry heavyweights, including Record Executive Mike Jackson during his tenure as Senior Director at EMI PUBLISHING and VP A&R Blackground Records; Platinum Producer Kenny Smoove (Mary J. Blige, Case, Changing Faces and Donnell Jones) with over 20 million records sold; Grammy Award Winning, Platinum Producer Anthony Dent (Destiny's Child, Jay-Z, B.I.G. and Young Jeezy) with over 50 million records sold; Grammy Award Winning, Platinum Producer Stevie J (Bad Boy Ent) with over 50 million albums sold; and legendary Record Executive Kevin Wales of WorldWide Entertainment on the projects of artists Khalil and Lil Niqo of Def Jam and Brandon Evans. Reality has also served as Associate Producer and Creative Consultant for the documentary “Broken Leg,” a film about Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment. He has managed Grammy Award Winning Songwriter Charmagne Tripp (writer and singer on Eminem's Grammy Award and Platinum Single "We Made U") and has worked on the projects of several artists such as Nicole Wray, KRS-One, Lord Jamar from Brand Nubians, The Stereo Hogzz (R&B group from X-Factor), Masspike Miles (R&B Artist of Rick Ross’ Mayback Music/Def Jam) and Corey Jarell of Liberti Movement (alterantive pop group).
In 2008, Reality added Brand Consultant to his list of services. As a Brand Consultant he has worked with many published models and actresses, such as Masika Khalysha and Angela Rosado, as well as been responsible for product placement in music videos through his partnership with Nuance Brand Consultant, Inc. In 2009, Reality then added Booking Agent to the list of services he provides. And in 2012, he served as an Executive in the startup internet portal tv (IPTV)/pay per view (PPV) television network UHE TV. In 2013-2014, Reality has served as a Brand Ambassador for companies such as Flat Fitty, a luxury hat wear company, and Headstrong Lifestyle, the clothing line of Anthony Dent. He has also consulted and booked for several reality show celebrities, including Stevie J, Joseline Hernandez, Mimi Faust and K. Michelle.
Omari “Reality” Bashir is the founder and CEO of Uncut Muzik, LLC and has worked in the entertainment industry for nearly 20 years. As a high school football star, Reality was recruited by several division 1 programs, he opted to pursue his love of music with JPat Management Company, the same management company as pop superstar Usher Raymond and ran by Usher’s mother, Jonetta Patton. After spending over a decade in the music industry as a recording artist, working with Usher, Akon, KRS-One, Brand Nubian and NoID to name a few, he decided to take his talents and knowledge acquired over the years on the creative side to the executive side of the industry. Reality’s company initially served as a platform to promote himself as a music producer, as well as both established and up and coming music producers and songwriters. In 2005, Reality built the Uncut Muzik brand into an A&R Consulting, Management and Multimedia Company.
Reality attended Georgia State University and later completed the Audio Engineering program at Omnitech Institute. As a trained audio engineer he recorded, mixed and mastered many artist, both major and upcoming.
Reality’s current positions and projects include: VP A&R of State of Mind Muzic, Inc. (the production, publishing and multi-media company of Anthony Dent, a Platinum, Grammy Producer); Managing the careers of Nick Fury (Platinum Producer who has produced hits for T.I., B.O.B, Nas, Trick-Daddy, Lil Flip and more with over 10 million records sold), Chantae’ Vetrice (up and coming pop diva) and several songwriters with credits under their belts; Associate Movie Producer and Creative Consultant on the motion picture “Back Home” and Fuse TV music series reality tv show “From the Bottom to the Top;” Brand Consultant/Ambassador with Nuance Brand Consultant, Inc., Flat Fitty (luxury hat wear company) and Headstrong Lifestyle (clothing line of Anthony Dent), as well as Holly "Lil Bear" Lawson (Welterweight Boxer, UFC fighter).
